The Wayne Memorial Boys Cross Country team won both dual meets on Thursday against Belleville and John Glenn on Thursday at home. Wayne defeated Belleville 25-31 and John Glenn 15-50. 15 of 16 boys ran either an overall Personal Record or a course Personal Record.
John Gaton won the race with a time of 17:33. Jon Boland and Trent Griffith finish 3rd and 4th respectively. Austin Bazan finished in 6th. Also running an outstanding race and rounding out the scoring for Wayne was Andrew Winters in 11th, Collin Powers in 12th, and Michael Rivera in 13th.
Our practices continue to be really good with everyone working hard. We are continuing to develop our racing techniques in meets. Iâm proud of the way the way boys are stepping up to improve both their own performances as well as the teamâs performance. 9 boys ran course PRs and 5 more ran an overall PR, with 1 running his inaugural cross country race. The results are as follows:
